Everyday wear
Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray have dried - those products dull gold finishes and cloud stone settings faster than almost anything else. Take it off before swimming, showering or exercising.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined box - pieces resting against each other is the most common cause of scratches. Keep kundan and stone-set pieces away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Cleaning
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. For gold pieces without stone settings, a mild soap-and-water clean followed by a thorough dry works well. Kundan and stone-set pieces should be wiped dry only - never soaked.
